Job Description
We are looking for a 3D artist who is skilled in creating high-quality 3D renderings of lighting products and lighting application photos. You will also be creating videos for use in marketing and communications campaigns for a wide range of clients across many verticals. You will be creating and revising 3D images to be used in brochures, catalogs, web, email blasts, and more. We are looking for a highly motivated, well-rounded 3D artist with additional general skills in graphic design. Must have a good foundation in hard surface modeling, organic modeling, texturing and Adobe Creative Suite.

Main Responsibilities:
- Create best-in-class product 3D renderings and lighting application images
- Work with sales, marketing, and engineering to produce photorealistic images for brochures, catalogs, specifications sheets, email campaigns, video, and other marketing collateral
- Create 3D animated camera shots/digital media to create/support technical and educational videos
- Work as part of a team to both develop and review renders and assets to support product launches and campaigns
- Revise existing assets
- Work quickly and efficiently on multiple projects at once and successfully manage workload to meet strict and aggressive deadlines
- Frequently update project teams and upper management on progress
- Gain insight into company procedures and product knowledge
- Participates in special projects as assigned, as well as other duties as required
Skills and Requirements:

- Advanced skills in at least 1 of these 3D software programs: Cinema 4D, 3D Studio Max (Autodesk 3ds Max), Rhino, Autodesk Alias, KeyShot, and/or Blender
- Proficient knowledge in at least 1 of these 3 video-creation programs: Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, and/or Final Cut Pro
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects) is extremely required
- Superior texturing, lighting, composition, finish and detail rendering ability
- Up-to-date understanding of trends in art and marketing
Experience:

Job Description
The Lighting Designer plays an indispensable role in realizing our company goals and initiatives. Because of this, we are seeking a highly talented, motivated, informed individual who is eager to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
We are currently seeking two Lighting Designers with different backgrounds:
Two Lighting Designers with experience in lighting for either/both:
- Hospitality spaces (hotels), retail, high-rise buildings, and high-end residential.
- Commercial spaces (office buildings, healthcare).
Responsibilities
- Analyzing and design of new, remodel and retrofit lighting projects
- Acquiring knowledge of lighting controls
- Acquiring knowledge of energy–saving growth areas
- Working closely with marketing and project managers on job–specific designs as well as the salesforce during customer development and formal proposal stages
- Providing technical design sales support at customer meetings
- Understanding and implementing customers’ requirements as well as communicate with all involved parties to produce financially efficient solutions
- Having the social preparedness to conduct presentations
- Involving/specifying our lighting products into major projects
- Training customers and staff
- Coordinating marketing efforts while collaborating with our marketing and quotations departments to help promote and reinforce the brand
- Maintaining informed about the latest developments in lighting; being prepared to attend local and national IES events
Qualifications
- Four-year degree in engineering, lighting design, or equivalent experience required.
- Must be NCQLP certified (LC License)
- Must be based in Los Angeles County
- 3 years of previous lighting-related design experience
- Understanding and application of the energy demand and maintenance requirements of various existing lighting systems.
- Has advanced experience with all aspects of lighting design, including but not limited to: analysis, revision, and commentary to specification sheets as needed.
- Understanding and application of the demands and requirements of retrofit solutions.
- General understanding of the requirements of electrical installations, circuitry, load, voltage and familiarity with electrical codes.
- Knowledge of IES standards, light color, color rendering, lumen maintenance, lamp life, ballast factors, system wattage, and efficacy of various systems.
- Ability to demonstrate the impacts of utility rates, rebates, system wattage, and operating hours in the design and development of proposed alternatives.
- Knowledge of the environmental, economic and quality advantages of various lighting alternatives (such as LEED program)
- Ability to travel 25% of the time
- Ability to effectively and professionally communicate verbally and in writing, to all levels of management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced atmosphere while maintaining a high level of quality.
Programs
- Experience with AGi32, Bluebeam, and/or various CAD programs
- Proficient with Windows, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
- Revit knowledge is a plus.
