Job Description
Lighting manufacturer in Commerce, CA seeks two motivated and responsible full-time assemblers to be part of the production team.
Assembler Responsibilities
- Assembly of lighting products requiring installation of electronic and electric components on an assembly line.
- May assist with pulling components from stock accurately and efficiently to execute proper assembly.
- Can read written instructions in English and basic line drawings
- Good with basic math
- Lighting assembly experience preferred but we WILL train the right candidates.
- Lifting and handling product up to 51 LBS, repeatedly and continuously throughout the day.
- Operating work tools; proper training to be provided
- Can work a schedule of Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM
- Follows instructions of team leader, QC manager, and/or Assembly Manager’s administrative assistant
- Other duties in the day-to-day operations of the assembly department
Physical Activities Required by the Position:
- Lifting and handling product up to 51 LBS, repeatedly and continuously throughout the day.
- Position requires frequent standing, lifting, bending, and walking in order to move product (many times on pallets) from/to different locations through the assembly department
- Position may include some twisting, turning, stooping, pushing, pulling, squatting, reaching above the shoulder, and other physical movements to reach a few products on occasion
- The temperature of the warehouse changes with the changing weather
